On this page, we aim to provide resources that support the wellbeing of the UCSF community. Wellbeing is more than just eating well and exercising. We support a holistic view of wellness, which has physical, emotional, social and financial components. Learn more about the resources available in each of these areas below, and view additional resources on the right hand side of this page.

Enjoy free workouts courtesy of UCSF Fitness and Recreation Centers.
UCSF’s award-winning fitness centers located at Parnassus, Mission Bay campuses with a mini center at the Mission Center Building and yoga classes at Laurel Heights. Mid-Day Mindfulness
Everyday from 12:00PM - 12:15PM except on Sundays
A moment to breathe, reflect, and ground ourselves.  No meditation experience necessary.
Offered by UCSF Department of Spiritual Care Services

Weekly Mindfulness Meditations Sessions
Wednesdays from 12:30PM - 1:00PM
Weekly mindfulness meditation virtual sessions led by Amy Hephner, MPH. Sessions vary and can include a mindfulness topic, reflection, meditation, or mindful movement. Each session is different and does not require experience or prior attendance. If possible, find a quieter space when joining. You are welcome to leave your video on or off on the Zoom.

Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP)
Confidential employee assistance services provided at no cost to faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and clinical fellows. Services include individual counseling services around personal or work related issues and organizational consulting services. Individuals can benefit from short term counseling, referrals, coaching, and biofeedback services.

Grief Support Group
Offered 4 Times a Year (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall)
Next Group Dates: Fall - October 7 - November 25
Learn to live with the loss of a loved one. This free eight-week support group is for individuals who have experienced the death of an adult loved one. Group meetings are focused on receiving and offering support through personal sharing, listening, discussion, reflection, meditation, and art work.
