On this page, we aim to provide resources that support the wellbeing of the UCSF community. Wellbeing is more than just eating well and exercising. We support a holistic view of wellness, which has physical, emotional, social and financial components. Learn more about the resources available in each of these areas below, and view additional resources on the right hand side of this page.

Physical Wellness

Learn more about UCSF’s award-winning Fitness & Recreation Centers, located at the Parnassus and Mission Bay campuses with a mini center at the Mission Center Building and yoga classes at Laurel Heights.

Wellness & Community health promotion campaigns and initiatives include our smoke/tobacco free policies, Healthy Beverage Initiative, stair promotion campaign and Healthy Meeting & Event Guide.

Emotional Wellness

UCSF’s Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) invites all faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and clinical fellows to use confidential employee assistance services, which are provided at no cost.

Stress Free UCSF is a campus-sponsored study and initiative aimed at reducing stress in UCSF faculty, staff and trainees and making our community a healthier, happier place to be. Participation is all online. Receive a one-year subscription to the digital mindfulness app, Headspace, and a chance to win a Napa vacation. For more information, see StressFreeUC.org.

Learn more about the systemwide Stigma Free UC initiative, which is a one year awareness initiative in support of UC faculty and staff’s emotional wellbeing offering monthly programming, informative webinars, discussions, links to resources and more.
