Facilities Services creates an exceptional physical environment at UCSF. We support research, teaching, health care, and the university’s community service mission by providing the operational and maintenance needs of all UCSF campus facilities.

Facilities works to make sure all UCSF properties receive the highest quality of service and care.
We make sure our passengers have a working elevator appear at the touch of a button – 24/7.
Facilities Services helps create an exceptional campus physical environment at UCSF. General Services cover custodial, landscaping, pest control, and recycling.
The Fire & Life Safety Program manages and oversees all Life Safety Systems and equipment across UCSF's main campuses and affiliated off-site locations.
Our Access Control & Security Systems (ACSS) team ensures faculty, students, staff, and visitors have the proper access and security in UCSF spaces.
The Customer Service Center handles work requests, job inquiries, and customer billing.
Depending on the complexity, Facilities can help you manage small- to mid-size projects not exceeding $100,000.
The Facilities Projects team manages the following programs: Tenant Improvement, Facility Investment Needs, Building Renewal, Integrated Capital Asset Management Program (ICAMP).
Research Support Services is dedicated to comprehensively supporting lab asset infrastructure and equipment in an effort to reduce costs, save time, and improve reliability for the research community.
Engineering & Utilities supports UCSF research and operations by managing reliable utilities and building systems, with the goal of reducing carbon emissions, energy, and water consumption.
