UCSF Transportation Services currently offers an online ride-matching service to help UCSF employees and students locate fellow UCSF commuters who are interested in carpooling.

Through a partnership with Zimride, we’re giving you access to a fun, easy, and FREE way to coordinate your daily commute. Whether you need a ride, or have one to give, Zimride can help get the UCSF community everywhere it needs to go.

This online ride-matching tool currently includes 600+ staff and students who are actively looking to carpool from a variety of Bay Area locations and at various times. A simple search designating your intended destination will provide you with the carpooling options currently available from your area.

When posting a ride, drivers are encouraged to list the amount they would like to receive (split fuel, parking fees, etc.) and those looking for a ride can list what they are willing to pay for a ride.

You already know you can save money and help the environment when you share your commute. How is Zimride different?

  • Don’t have a car? Find a ride where you need to go.
  • Have a car? Split the costs by driving fellow UCSF community members.
  • Check out profiles of your UCSF colleagues before sharing a ride.

All UCSF faculty, staff, and students are eligible to sign-up for Zimride. There is no cost for membership.

Ready to sign-up? Visit the Zimride website.
