UCSF Mission Bay Child Care Center

Construction Impacts

A new child care center is being constructed on the Mission Bay Campus to provide UCSF families with expanded on-campus child care services. Once construction is complete, the children from the current center will move to the new facility and then the old center will be demolished.

Bright Horizons, LLC, operates all UCSF child care centers and will also operate the new Mission Bay Child Care Center. Bright Horizons is the largest provider of employer-sponsored child care in the United States and has been serving UCSF since 2003.

Equipment and materials will be delivered and moved with greater frequency.

Fencing and landscaping around the site will continue to develop.

On Block 18a, trenching and paving will occur to develop electrical infrastructure to serve the future child care center and parking lot. Asphalt pouring is planned to occur beginning mid-May.
