Mission Bay Conference Center FAQs

Are private events held at the Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF?
Yes. Our center has hosted corporate events, birthday parties, retirement parties, anniversaries, and weddings.

Is audio-visual equipment available?
Built-in, state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment is part of the package at Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF. For more information, please visit our website here.

Do you offer catering?
Yes. Mission Bay’s conference planning managers and culinary staff are happy to assist in coordinating all your food and beverage needs. For special needs (e.g., religious observation, vegetarian), the center will make accommodations for meal preparation with an outside vendor. For more information, please visit our website here.

What does the rental price include?
Rental costs include in-house tables and chairs, set-up, breakdown, and clean-up for your event. Also included: sound system access.

Is alcohol allowed?
We welcome the inclusion of beer, wine, and/or champagne at your event. For any event that will include alcohol, please complete this UCSF Request for Use of Alcoholic Beverages form.

Is parking available?
The Mission Bay Conference Center offers 1,650 mixed-use (public and permit) parking spaces. Parking entrances are off of 16th Street at the 1625 Owens Street garage, and at the 1650 3rd St. Garage. For parking rates, please visit the Transportation Services website.

How do I ship my materials to the conference center?
When shipping materials to the Mission Bay Conference Center (“MBCC”), please clearly label your package with your company name, your conference planning manager’s name and “hold for conference/event (insert date).” We are happy to accept your shipments and store them until your event date. Please be mindful that due to limited storage, we request that you not send any materials more than three days in advance of your event date. Your package will be received and stored securely until your arrival.

How can I get to the Mission Bay Conference Center using public transportation?

T-Third Metro Line connects all Third Street neighborhoods to the full Muni Metro system. The T-Third Metro Line picks up at 4th and King Caltrain Station and at the Embarcadero BART station. Stop: UCSF Mission Bay Station on 3rd Street, opposite the campus.

BART/UCSF Shuttles
Disembark at the 16th Street Mission BART station. Pick up the UCSF Shuttle-Red Line at the northeast corner of the intersection, in front of Burger King. Shuttles run every 20 minutes to 4th Street, UCSF Mission Bay campus.
