West Campus Groundskeeper James Taylor worked with researchers last month from the UC San Francisco Clinical Innovation Center (CIC) and Hyundai to test a waist-assisted exoskeleton (H-Wex) designed to reduce workplace injuries in the healthcare setting. The CIC team said Taylor’s experiments at the Kanbar Simulation Center helped the team refine the prototype and validate its use in reducing workplace injuries.
