Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations are available on campus as part of the ChargePoint Network.
Level 1 and Level 2 fees: $1.25 per hour
Payment is assessed through the ChargePoint Network. A ChargePoint ChargePass card is required to use the stations.
Fees are used to offset related electrical, infrastructure, and Chargepoint’s administrative costs.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations are now available in the following parking structures for the UCSF community and visitors for “top-off” charging. These nine chargers are a part of the ChargePoint Network and offer both Level 1 and Level 2 chargers.
- (6) 500 Parnassus Avenue; Millberry Union Garage; floor P7
- (16) 1835 Owens Street; Mission Bay Hospital Garage; first floor
- (2) 1625 Owens Street; Mission Bay Community Center Garage; first floor
- (2) 1650 3rd Street; Mission Bay Garage; second floor
- (2) 2420 Sutter Street; Mt. Zion Garage; first floor
All chargers are a part of the ChargePoint Network. A ChargePoint ChargePass card is required to use the stations. Please register with ChargePoint and check the network map to ensure a charger is available before getting on the road.
Time Limit: 4 Hours
There is a 4 hour time limit for parking at an EV charging station for those customers that are using a parking permit. All customers must initiate a charging session through the adjacent ChargePoint station (the spaces are designed for EV charging, not simply EV parking).
When you decrease your impact on the environment by driving a fuel-efficient, low-emitting vehicle, you increase your access to priority parking in UCSF garages. A limited number of priority parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spaces are accessible to qualifying cars and can be identified by the green vehicle parking sign.
To see if your car qualifies, please visit the GreenerCars site. This list is provided by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, and includes vehicles that meet the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED criteria. The ACEEE list is updated annually.
