Campus Life Services ended the sale of Bear Hugs on March 19 but redemption of vendor certificates continues to be accepted at participating locations.
Jen Mannix, Arts & Events manager at Campus Life Services, said while the sale of Bear Hugs has ended, customers may purchase FastPay gift cards as another way to recognize employees. FastPay gift cards are available through UCSF Nutrition & Food Services in increments of $20 for use at any UCSF vendor that accepts FastPay. More information is available at FastPay.
As an incentive, recipients who use their existing Bear Hugs at participating UC San Francisco campus vendors by June 30 could win a $20 FastPay gift card.
Customers who redeem their Bear Hugs from now until June 30 should write their email on the back of each Bear Hug to enter the drawing. Monthly drawings will be held through June 30 and there will be five winners each month.
“I want to thank all of the loyal Bear Hugs customers over the years,” Mannix said. “The program has been a great way to recognize coworkers and others on campus for a job well done. We’re pleased Bear Hugs could transition to an area with expertise in gift cards and electronic payments?”
