Naledi Saul, MPM
Associate Director


Naledi Saul has been providing career-related counseling and programming to students and scholars for more than a decade. She currently serves as the Associate Director of the Office of Career and Professional Development, where she advises graduate students, professional school students, postdocs and residents on a wide variety of topics related to careers in the biomedical and health sciences.

Her responsibilities involve designing programs addressing a range of professional and career development skills, including oral and written communication skills, mentorship, career exploration, employment search strategies, and work/life balance issues and she serves as a campus mediation officer for the UCSF Problem Resolution Center. Her particular expertise includes working with health professionals pursuing domestic and international careers in the public health arena. She has also previously served as an Advisor to the Career Forum at Science magazine’s online resource, Sciencecareers.org.

Saul's previous professional experience includes a position as an Assistant Dean of Students and Assistant Director of the Career Center at Amherst College. She also worked as Assistant Director of the Career Development Center at Mount Holyoke College, counseling students and alumni considering public sector professions and applying to international fellowship programs, including the Fulbright, Rhodes, Luce, Mitchell, Marshal, and DAAD. She holds a Master of Public Management degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Spelman College.
