Performing Arts

Music and Performance
Many of us at UCSF do magical things daily–and we reward miracle workers, big and small, with the soothing, healing, enervating, and entertaining powers of art and music. Rock, jazz, gospel, chamber, world. All are welcome to attend, and many of our performances are free to low cost. That’s music to everyone’s ears!

Chancellor’s Concert Series
Classical music lives on in this series dedicated to favorites works by classical composers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann and others. You’ll enjoy performances by professional and semi-professional artists. Check the Arts & Events calendar for upcoming concerts.

Music in the Library
Bring your books and study or just sit back and relax while listening to acoustic music. Enjoy a free chair massage and light refreshments in the Lange Reading Room of the UCSF Kalmanowiz Library.

Arts & Entertainment Registered Clubs and Organizations (RCOs)

Arts & Entertainment RCOs at UCSF provide opportunities for musicians, stage managers, actors, singers, art lovers, writers, and dancers to perform or just get together to share their love for the arts. Through the collaboration of the Art & Events team, the Office of Student Life, and a variety of on-campus funding sources, these organizations are able to produce fun and entertaining programs that enrich the campus community.
